Import replay files
Advanced import loads Tradrr Replay files back into Market Replay. Use it to restore a recording you downloaded, or to move one to another browser or computer.
What you can import
- One to three Tradrr Replay JSON files (
.json). Use files you downloaded from My recordings. One downloaded file already holds all the markets of that recording. - All files must cover the same time window and come from the same kind of source (all recorded, or all synthetic).
- Each file must be a different market. The same instrument can't appear twice.
- The markets must be priced in USD or EUR.
Careful. Broker CSV files and chart exports aren't supported. Only Tradrr Replay JSON files work.
Import files
- Disconnect Market Replay if it's connected.
- Open Connections and click the gear icon on the Market Replay row.
- Click Advanced import…. The button changes to Hide advanced import.
- Under Import replay files, click Import files….
- Select your files. To import several markets, select up to three files at once.
The button reads Importing… while Tradrr reads the files. When it's done, the session is selected for Market Replay and saved to My recordings. The recording is named after the file. If you import several files, it's named Imported replay · 2 markets or Imported replay · 3 markets.
Check Selected session in the dialog, then close it and click Connect on the Market Replay row.
Limits
- Between one and three files per import.
- The files together can be up to 384 MiB.
If the import fails
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Load between one and three replay recordings. | Select fewer files, then try again. |
| The replay recordings exceed the 384 MiB package size limit. | Import the files one session at a time, or use smaller files. |
| Replay recordings must contain unique instruments. | Remove the duplicate market and import again. |
| Replay recordings must share the same start/end interval and recorded or synthetic source. | Only import files recorded for the same window. |
| Market Replay currently supports USD and EUR recordings. | That market can't be replayed. |
If a file fails for another reason, it may not be a valid Tradrr Replay file. Download a fresh copy from My recordings in the browser where you made it.
