Connect on start up
Connect on start up logs a Rithmic connection in by itself every time Tradrr opens, so your charts and DOMs have data when the workspace loads.
Turn it on
- Open Connections.
- If the connection is connected, click Disconnect.
- Click the gear icon on the row (Configure connection).
- Under Options, tick Connect on start up.
- Click Save.
You can also tick it when you first add the connection. See Connect Rithmic.
It needs a saved password
Tradrr can only log in for you if it has your password. Ticking Connect on start up turns on password saving. If you turn password saving off later with the save icon in the password field, Connect on start up gets unticked too.
A connection with Connect on start up but no saved password is skipped at start up.
What happens at start up
- Tradrr sets up Server SIM first, then connects every connection that has the option and a saved password. It skips any that are already connected.
- If at least one connection has Connect on start up, Tradrr doesn't open the Connections window for you.
- If none has it, Tradrr opens Connections when it starts so you can connect by hand.
Check the signal icon in the top bar after start up. It turns green when your connections are healthy.
Where the option is not available
Market Replay, Server SIM, Firm SIM and Simulated Trading never connect on start up, and their rows have no connection form. Connect them from Connections when you want them.
Two tabs or browsers
A Rithmic connection stays active in one Tradrr tab at a time. If you open Tradrr in a second tab and it connects, the first tab shows Connection moved to another tab and disconnects. In a second browser the message reads Connection moved to another browser. Manage or close orders in the tab or browser that's still connected.
Turn it off
- Disconnect the connection and click its gear icon.
- Untick Connect on start up.
- Click Save.
