Firm SIM accounts

Firm SIM accounts are simulated accounts your firm assigns to you. They show up in Connections as one row called Firm SIM, and orders run on Tradrr's server instead of going to a broker.

Find the Firm SIM row

Open Connections. If your firm has assigned SIM accounts to you, you'll see a row named Firm SIM with the account line Assigned firm SIM accounts. Its route reads Tradrr Server SIM and the gateway reads Server execution.

If you don't see the row, no Firm SIM accounts are assigned to you. For a practice account you set up yourself, see Server SIM practice accounts.

Connect Firm SIM

  1. Open Connections.
  2. Click Connect on the Firm SIM row.
  3. Pick one of the assigned accounts in the account list of a chart or DOM.

The Services column shows Connected or Not connected for Firm SIM. These indicators describe the SIM connection. They aren't Rithmic services.

Market data

Firm SIM can need your own Rithmic data. If the row shows Connect your Rithmic data to use the Server SIM, connect a Rithmic connection. See Connect Rithmic. Until prices are ready, the Data indicator reads Data unavailable.

How it differs from a live account

  • Orders on these accounts are labelled Firm SIM in their description, followed by an order number.
  • You can't rename or delete the row, and it has no settings button in Connections.
  • Trading must be enabled. See Trading lock.
  • Firm SIM accounts can't trade Market Replay data. Market Replay has its own accounts.

Tip. Check which account is selected in the chart or DOM before you place an order. Firm SIM and live accounts can sit side by side in the same list.
