Share a workspace

A shared workspace is a link to a copy of your layout. The other trader opens it in Tradrr and adds your layout as a new workspace. Nothing about your accounts goes with it.

Share a workspace

  1. If you changed the layout since your last save, click Save Active Workspace in the Workspaces menu.
  2. In the top bar, click the Workspaces button.
  3. Point at the workspace you want to share and click the Share button.
  4. Wait for Creating link... to finish, then click Copy. The button changes to Copied.
  5. Send the link to the other trader and click Done.

The link looks like https://app.tradrr.com/#w= followed by a 10-character code. If Tradrr can't create the link it shows Couldn't create the link. Click Try again.

What the link includes

IncludedNot included
Windows, layout and window settingsAccounts, connections and login data. The dialog says these stay private.
The widgets in each window and their settingsChart drawings

The link is a snapshot of the moment you created it. If you change the workspace afterwards, share it again to send the update. Anyone signed in to Tradrr who has the link can import a copy, so only share it with people you trust.

Import a shared workspace

You can import in two ways.

Open the link

  1. Sign in to Tradrr, then open the link in your browser.
  2. When the dialog asks Import followed by the workspace name, read the summary line. It shows the number of windows and the layout.
  3. Click Import workspace.

Paste the link or code

  1. In the Workspaces menu, click Import at the bottom.
  2. Paste the link, or just the 10-character code, into the field. The dialog says Paste a workspace link or its 10-character code.
  3. Click Continue, then click Import workspace in the confirmation.

Tradrr shows Workspace imported when it's done. The confirmation dialog lists what happens.

  • It adds the layout as a new workspace.
  • Your current workspaces stay as they are.
  • Accounts and connections are not affected.

The new workspace gets the shared name with (imported) added. It isn't made your default workspace, and Tradrr doesn't switch to it for you. Pick it from the Workspaces menu when you're ready.

Tip. After you import, check the Layout button in the top bar and the windows in the new workspace. Choose your own account in each DOM and chart trade panel before you trade.
