Crosshair quick actions
Crosshair quick actions work on the price under your pointer. From there you can place a limit or stop order, set a price alert or draw a horizontal line. They're on desktop and web charts only. The mobile chart doesn't have them.
Careful. An order from quick actions uses the trade panel's live values (quantity, stop loss, take profit and account) at the moment you click the menu item. The menu label shows the quantity when the menu opens. Check the trade panel before you click.
Open the menu
- Move the pointer over the chart. The crosshair follows it.
- Click the + button next to the crosshair's price label on the price scale.
- Choose an action from the menu.
The price is rounded to the instrument's tick size. The menu has no actions on a chart that has no bars.
To switch the + off, clear Show Crosshair Quick Actions (+) in Chart settings → General. See Chart settings.

Which orders you are offered
Tradrr offers the two orders that make sense for the price you picked, based on the latest market price.
- At or below the market: Buy at a Limit, and Sell at a Stop.
- Above the market: Sell at a Limit, and Buy at a Stop.
If there is no live market data yet, the Buy and Sell items show greyed out. Hover them and the tooltip says why. It reads Connect market data to trade or Waiting for market data.
If Confirm order placement is on in Settings → Trading, a confirmation window opens before the order is sent.

Price alerts
Create alert @ price is available when the chart uses Rithmic market data. It opens the alert editor with the price filled in. Nothing is created until you save the alert. Active alerts show on the chart as lines, which you can hide with Show Alert Lines in Chart settings. See Price alerts.
Horizontal line
Draw horizontal line at price adds a normal horizontal line drawing at the crosshair price. You can then move, style or delete it like any other drawing. See Drawing tools.
Use the right-click menu instead
Right-click the chart at a price. The same quick Buy and Sell orders and Create alert @ price appear in the chart menu, using the price under the pointer. The menu does not have the horizontal line item. See the right-click menu in Chart window overview.
