System requirements
Tradrr handles live order flow, chart updates and DOM movement all at once. It runs on modest hardware, but footprint charts and multi-window layouts do best on a modern machine with a stable connection.
Recommended setup
| Part | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Processor | Intel i7, AMD Ryzen 7, Apple M1 or newer. |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM or more. |
| Graphics | A dedicated GPU with 4 GB of video memory or more. Examples: NVIDIA GTX 1650, an NVIDIA RTX card, or Apple M2 Pro and above. |
| Internet | A stable connection of 50 Mbps or faster, ideally under 50 ms ping to the nearest Rithmic server. |
| Browser | The latest Google Chrome. Tradrr is tuned for Chromium-based browsers. |
| Desktop app | macOS or Windows. See Install the desktop app. |
Apple silicon Macs handle multi-chart and footprint layouts well.
Keep Tradrr awake in Chrome
Chrome can put inactive tabs to sleep to save memory. A sleeping Tradrr tab can show charts that update late, and it can feel slow when you come back to it. Add Tradrr to Chrome's list of sites that stay active.
- Open Chrome and go to Settings, then Performance.
- Find Always keep these sites active and click Add.
- Enter
https://app.tradrr.com. - Click Add, then reload Tradrr.
Tip. The desktop app doesn't throttle its windows in the background and keeps the display awake while it runs, so it needs no browser setting.
Network tips
- A steady connection beats a fast one. Stay off shared or crowded Wi-Fi during live sessions.
- Use wired Ethernet when you can. On Wi-Fi, use a strong 5 GHz or Wi-Fi 6 connection.
If your machine is below these specs
Tradrr still runs. Heavy layouts like several footprint charts will feel it most. Open a ticket from the Help & Support menu and include your system details, so support can tell you what to expect. See Support tickets and live sessions.
